Matt Kirby builds and designs furniture and does historic restoration.   He received the 1993 Craftsmanship Award for Woodworking from the Kansas City Chapter of the American Association of Architects for altar furniture created for St. John’s Catholic Church, Lawrence, Kansas.  A cabinet designed by Matt was featured in Fine Woodworking magazine in 1994.
